Who are we?

IOPEN is directed by Richard Waid and Brian Chatterton.

Richard's expertise is in Internet security and networking, data analysis, web application architecture (including scalable deployment), and technical consulting.

Brian has been involved in a raft of commercial and industrial IT projects involving computer networking, databases, data collection, process monitoring and supervisory control.

Developed to your needs

Our expertise ranges from web applications, through to embedded software (and hardware) design and implementation.

We have technical expertise in a number of languages including Python, Javascript, C, Java, Perl and Pascal, and frameworks such as Zope and Django.

Local is the new Global

We do our consulting, development, implementation and much of our deployment from Christchurch and Wellington, New Zealand.

However, we deal with clients throughout the world, particularly in the United States and Europe. Distance is not a barrier.

Despite our small size, our capacity is not limited. We have access to extremely talented designers, programmers, and consultants to ensure the full range of skills are available to your company.

We can deploy to servers based at your place, your data centre, or in our own secure seattle based data centre.

We have a wide range of Linux network server expertise, from high availability, high load, and high traffic network application servers, through to workgroup servers.
